This odd short-film/musical is about a B-list villain who, through his vlog, longs for both world domination and the love of the woman he adores from the next washing machine.  No, it doesn't make sense, it's a farce, it doesn't have to make sense.  It's made all the more surreal by the choice of Neil Patrick Harris (yes, Doogie Howser) as the character of Dr. Horrible.

The movie is PG-13 for a couple of themes (which actually add to the plot, such as it is), so don't go telling people that it's wholesome family entertainment (my 8 year old won't be watching it, but then she has no idea who Doogie Howser is so she won't the biggest joke anyway).  Yet, it's an amazing example of what can be done on a shoestring budget by talented people who eschew the "classic" models of creation and distribution.  It is a witness to the power of the Internet to democratize information.

The ending is also profound, but I won't give it away if you haven't seen it yet.

Sadly, at the moment you can only get Dr. Horrible on iTunes - the streaming version was taken down on Sunday as advertized.

Le jour même de la sortie du Pwnage Tool pour Mac, les premiers “Windows Users” ont trouvé la solution pour Windows, mais elle n’a été approuvée par aucun rédacteur :P Et donc, je serai le premier a donner ce tuto tant attendu pour certains, sous Windows.

En Route ! :

Pré requis :

1) iTunes 7.5 (lien)

2) iTunes 7.7 (lien)

3) Le Custom Firmware de Percuss : (lien)

4) Le Firmware 1.1.3 ou 1.1.4, que vous devez en théorie déjà avoir dans sur votre machine, à localiser dans le dossier C:/Documents And Settings/Nom D’utilisateur/Application Data/Apple Computer/iTunes/iPod Software Update/Firmware 1.1.3/4). Sinon, téléchargez le 1.1.4 via ce lien.

1) Downgrader iTunes 7.7 en 7.5

Pour commencer, désinstallez iTunes 7.7. Une fois désinstallé, installez iTunes 7.5 dont le lien a été donné plus haut, lancez celui-ci.

2) Restaurer le iPod Touch en 1.1.3/4

Une fois iTunes 7.5 lancé, branchez votre iPod Touch à l’ordinateur, puis mettez le en Mode DFU pour que iTunes détecte votre iPod en mode de récupération (restauration), puis cliquez sur Shift+Restaurer et choisissez le firmware 1.1.3 ou 1.1.4 via le chemin évoqué plus haut.

Puis le iPod se restaurera en 1.1.3/4, laissez-le faire.

3) Upgrader iTunes 7.5 en 7.7

Une fois que la restauration sera complète, débranchez le iPod de votre ordinateur et passez à la version 7.7 d’iTunes, en l’installant tout simplement (lien donné plus haut).

Vous avez maintenant : -iTunes 7.7 - iPod Touch Firmware 1.1.3/4

4) Pwnage du iPod Touch avec le Firmware de Percuss :

Téléchargez le firmware custom de Percuss (lien donné plus haut) et mettez le dans un lieu sûr. (Bureau par exemple).

Lancez iTunes 7.7, puis branchez votre iPod, et mettez le en Mode DFU pour que iTunes détecte votre iPod en mode de récupération (restauration) puis cliquez sur Shift+Restaurer et choisissez le firmware custom de Percuss que vous avez enregistré au préalable.

Votre iPod devrait maintenant se restaurer avec le firmware Custom de Percuss ! Laissez faire iTunes, quelques minutes… Une fois l’opération terminée votre iPod Touch reviendra sur iTunes normal, mais ce n’est pas tout ! Regardez sur le springboard de votre iPod Touch, il y a non seulement le 2.0 (App Store par exemple) mais aussi Cydia !

Bravo, vous avez réussi !

One observation to make is this: the level of interaction seems to vary by the blogger's level of established reputation. As a blogger gets more well-known on the Web, the level of interaction declines.

This was my first-ever guest blog post. I've seen others do it. Pretty neat, ain't it? Here are some things that occurred to me as a I wrote it.

Louis's blog is a lot bigger than mine. Per Technorati, Louis is a Top 5,000 blogger. A much bigger audience than mine. He's a regular on Techmeme. I always want to put my best content here, but I have some coverage if a post doesn't get much traction. People who read this blog know me, and have a sense of what I'll write n the future.  Over on Louis's blog, there's a much bigger audience. They've come to expect a certain quality. Louis's expectations became my expectations.

The chart below is the one I used in the guest post on Louis's blog:

Louis is a Stage 3 blogger. With that, some of the crazy experimentation I like to do (such as my stick man representation of social media interactions) is not appropriate on his blog. I was cognizant of that.

I picked a subject that is consistent with Louis's overall blog. The role of bloggers, and their interactions is the kind of subject that Louis regularly covers. I wanted a post that fit his "brand". So I didn't write one of my Enterprise 2.0 pieces, because that's not something he covers.

I took forever to write it. Weirdly, it just took me longer to finish up this post than it usually does. Probably for the two reasons listed above.

I noticed that Elgg v1.0 was due for release "summer 08" but summer is almost over and I am one of an army of frustrated Elgg wannabe users. We get occasional appetiser blog posts and shouts on Elgg voices but it is getting very frustrating now...a little bit of communication goes a long way.

So I downloaded PHPizabi and AroundMe today....I am playing with these for now but I am sure I am not the only one that is frustrated with the wait. I know that Elgg v1.0 will be well worth the wait but....it's painful.

There is only so much you can take of Elgg Classic with it's lack of documentation and the sheer desire to enjoy V1.0.

I love what I have seen of Elgg Classic so I know Elgg V1.0 will be great....just wish the team would not tease so much and perhaps pin a proper date down?

• Beber jugo de piña puede hacer que tu esperma tenga mejor sabor.

Cierto. Pero no hay garantía. Mientras que el semen es considerado científicamente neutral, ya que tiene un pH de 7.2 a 8.0 y en gran parte es compuesto de fructosa (azúcar), muchas mujeres se quejan de que el sabor del semen es amargo y salado. Esto se debe en gran parte a lo que el hombre come. El esperma se ve afectada por lo que se come, al igual que todas las secreciones del cuerpo. After I've managed my diet so well, I'm now able to live a normal life now, without my IBS making my life too difficult. That means I can now and then be a bit daring with food. I'm still vegan and will be the rest of my life, so those of you who thought otherwise can just jog on. What I mean is that I can have some coffee and something sweet now and then.

When we got home today I treated myself with a toast with hagelslag (made from dark chocolate without milk) and Swedish coffee made with our new coffee plunger. I made myself a caffe mocca with chocolate soy milk. Which later gave me energy to make a nice and simple two-days-until-pay tomato soup.

I thought about jailbreaking my iPod Touch today with Pwnage 2.0.1, as I bought the 2.0 upgrade for the iPod Touch when it got released; but I'm too lazy as it takes a while to do it. And it's no rush really. I could even wait until the weekend, but I'll post a short post about it when I've done it.

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I really don't have much more to say (write about) at the moment. Probably time for us to get some sleep I guess, so we're not too sleepy tomorrow.

so i finally touched, caressed, fondled, and poked the htc touch diamond today. awesome shite... if you want to feel like an idiot. but it is really slim, light, and has a very addictive game in it. :)

as a virgin PDA user (typing one SMS on a blackberry before does not count), i was totally befuddled on the navigation of the phone. you have this, that, this, that, this, that.... and 1000 other applications to use. you poke here poke there slide up slide down to get to different pages. you scroll here scroll there just to switch on a damn bluetooth. and so it goes. but, after a while you'll get the hang of the whole poking and scrolling schmoozy.

camera-wise though, its not very starbucks friendly. you'll just turn out looking jaundiced. :(

but the screen layout is very sleek. i like.

La galería de Worth1000 ha creado una sección con algunas pinturas de Star Wars, se dice que estas pinturas fueron encontradas en una extraña nave espacial enterrada cercas de las piramides Mayas en Palenque Chiapas. La nave contiene la leyenda "AT-AT Galactic Empire" que aun no se ha dado explicación alguna, la NASA dice que no sabe nada al respecto, Jaime Maussan dice que "los marcianos llegaron ya, y llegaron bailando ricacha!!!". Aprovechando este fenomeno los amigos de Worth1000 estan solicitando que las obras de arte sean donadas para su galería, y para ello han organizado un concurso que durara solo 48 horas, aun no se tienen los premios pero de seguro sera un artefacto llamado "lightsaber" encontrado en dicha nave. This past Friday, Cath managed to sit us down next to the three geekiest guys I have ever seen.  Normally, this wouldn't be too much of an issue for me.  I figure, as long as you're relatively interesting and entertaining, I'll probably have more in common with geeky guys that with the rest of the random bonehead guys you'll find in your standard pub.  But I swear, these three?  They were just...well people, they were just awesome.  They were SO entertaining on so many levels, probably many of which were unintended.  There was the guy who was deaf in one ear so he kept moving around to different seats in order to hear people.  There was the guy who was totally rude and socially inept, until he told us he has Aspergers.  Then there was the ‘ladies man.'

Now, the ‘ladies man' was the most entertaining to me, primarily because he kept trying to pick me up all night and he was just so bad at it.  But he had this intense confidence where he just seemed to think that this was totally going to work, I just clearly hadn't heard him correctly the first time.  But the funniest part about it all was that his two friends obviously thought he was really really good at picking up women.  One of them even told me to be careful because he'll ‘talk you out of your pants without you even knowing!'  Oh honey.  I think I'll know.

So for anyone else out there looking for tips, here are a few things NOT TO DO while attempting to pick up a woman:

-    If you are going to attempt the man-with-ponytail look, please ensure you have nice hair.  Even Michael Bolton gave that look up when he started to get thin on top.
-    At no time during the conversation should you discuss or mention ‘boobs', particularly mine.  And please, stop staring.  Especially when I specifically ask you to.  At no time should I have to use the phrase ‘um, I'm up here dude.'
-    If I accidentally bump your leg while crossing mine, please understand that I'm not attempting to play footsie with you.  And when I don't move it back between your legs when you invite me, you should know that complimenting my legs won't entice me to change my mind.
-    At no time, AT ALL, should the word c**t come up in conversation.  AT ALL.  NO there is no exception.  Stop trying to convince me there is.

Am I really lame if I admit that these guys just amused me to no end?  And even with the horrible come-ons, I actually found this guy kind of hilariously intriguing?  Before the boob-staring and the awful leg comments I'd been having a good time talking to him.  I suspect he felt compelled to try to ‘seduce' me because I actually had a semi-sustained conversation with him, which MUST mean I'm looking to be talked out of my pants, right?  I confess, I love the show The Big Bang Theory and wished I had my own group of geeky friends to hang out with and discuss all my geeky-at-heart tendencies.  Unfortunately, I think I better keep looking.  At least until I find someone who will look me in the eye.

Now before i go on something related to my last post ...  i just got to know another method for verification of passwords it's the database password verification on the server side .. ( two kinds of verification client side {mostly JavaScript or other} and the other is server side {database verification} ) that's cause if done on the client side people would be able to access the database!! lol that's so obb ... well before i lose track again .. the password you put in is md5 hashed and for all you noobs out thereit an encrytion algorithm which cannot be unhashed! ( though they can be predicted with a probablist unhashing algorith go google it) , what is then done is these md5 hashed passwords are then compared with the already hashed passwords in the table and then the cookies are sent .. nice work right .. almost full proof .. unless you can actually acess the databse .. that can be done too depending on the server's for eg: i read somehwhere on hacking a iis windows 2000 server with a good example of a script (trogan) opening a unauthenticated port (99) with read/write attributes and acess to the whole server with the tftp command and telnet tooo!! .. awesome right?

well off to other topics like lets see ..  SEO? well i am quite new to it but the best way to do it is just including various currently "in" words in your article like LOK-SABHA , Britney , Google , Wordpress ,  Iphone , CMS , hacking , harry-potter and some others and then adding them to your tags .. does it work .. well i will tell you next time after checking the hits for this post .. Pero considerando que Conocimiento es Poder tenemos que:

Conocimiento = Trabajo/Tiempo

Y como Tiempo es Dinero tenemos que:

Conocimiento = Trabajo / Dinero

Ahora, si en ésta ecuación, despejamos la variable Dinero, tenemos que:

Dinero = Trabajo / Conocimiento

Así se demuestra que, cuando Conocimiento se aproxima a cero (0), el dinero tiende a infinito, independientemente de la cantidad de trabajo realizado. Con lo que queda demostrado que: cuanto menos sepas; mas ganaras.
