<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Martial Arts are cool. Learning either Judo, Kung Fu, Karate or any of the others takes years(which isn't cool at all). Those of us who don't have a ton of free time on our hands need not feel left out. Creating your own fighting style won't tale years, and the process is a lot more fun than meditation and breaking boards with your hand.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In a heart-stopping moment this morning, I read the message on my laptop screen:</p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em><strong>Windows did not start up normally.  Please choose an option below:</strong></em></p>
<p>I chose the option to "Start Windows Normally."  Duh.  The screen went to black, then:</p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><strong><em>Windows did not start up normally.  Please choose an option below:</em></strong></p>
<p>The clincher:  Windows Vista restarted itself, after downloading some "crucial updates."  Well, those "crucial updates" apparently gave my laptop a stroke.  This would not normally be heart-stopping, if it weren't for the fact that I just lost all of my daughter's infant pictures, the start of a new novel (not to mention the latest version of my other one), the detailed timelines of said novels, a great eggplant recipe and some hilarious avatars.  Mostly I am upset about the photos.  And I do not have good backups of these items, because Vista never let me install Nero 8, which is the software I use to burn DVDs.  That should have been my warning sign there.   However I felt a little better with my Vista Ultimate, which supposedly doesn't have the eight billion bugs that Vista Home has.  In the end though, Ian said it best in a tweet:  Vista is the world's first 10GB virus.</p>
<p>So since these sorts of ordeals have occured before, whenever I install an new OS I always leave an eensy partition on the drive with nothing on it.  So I installed XP on the partition, leaving Vista on there as well.  I was able to install Nero onto XP, sneak on there and copy all of my photos and documents, and burn them to DVD like I should have been doing all along.  So the only thing I really lost was most of the morning.  I am now going to spend the evening wiping Vista completely, installing XP, and hopefully that will be the end of that.</p>
<p>P.S.  I really hate Mac.  So I don't even want to hear it.  We already have a couple of Macs in the home, and I don't want to go there.  Yes.  I also know about Linux.  Save it already.</p>

<description><![CDATA[Hello everyone,

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span style="color:#000000;">Hello everyone,</span></p>
<p>today's article is about adding namespaces to your XML document using Java and Dom4j, so let's get started...</p>
<p>First of all we need an instance of the Dom4j factory, here is how we do it...</p>
<p><code><span style="color:#008000;"> //Get an instance of the dom4j document factory</span><br />
DocumentFactory factory = DocumentFactory.getInstance();</code></p>
<p>...next we create an element which is going to serve as the root element as well as a new xml document using the factory object.</p>
<p><code> <span style="color:#008000;">//use the factory to create a root element</span><br />
Element rootElement = factory.createElement("RootElement");<br />
<span style="color:#008000;">//use the factory to create a new document with the previously created root element</span><br />
Document doc = factory.createDocument(rootElement);</code></p>
<p>Now we are ready to create our namespaces.</p>
<p><code><span style="color:#008000;">//create some dom4j namespaces that we like to add to our new document</span><br />
Namespace namespace1 = new Namespace("xsd","http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#");<br />
Namespace namespace2 = new Namespace("rdfs","http://www.w3.org/2000/01/rdf-schema#");<br />
Namespace namespace3 = new Namespace("rdf","http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#");<br />
Namespace namespace4 = new Namespace("owl","http://www.w3.org/2002/07/owl#");<br />
Namespace namespace5 = new Namespace("some","http://some/other/namespace:-)#");</code></p>
<p>The last step we have to take is to add all the namespaces to the XML document.</p>
<p><code><span style="color:#008000;">//add the created namespaces to the document</span><br />
doc.getRootElement().add(namespace1);<br />
doc.getRootElement().add(namespace2);<br />
doc.getRootElement().add(namespace3);<br />
doc.getRootElement().add(namespace4);<br />
doc.getRootElement().add(namespace5);</code></p>
<p>Finished! To check if everything worked as intended we're going to write the document to an XML file...</p>
<p><code><strong><span style="color:#800080;">try</span></strong> {<br />
<span style="color:#008000;">//write the created document to an arbitrary file </span><br />
FileOutputStream fos = new FileOutputStream( "files/output.xml" );</code></p>
<p><code>OutputFormat outformat = OutputFormat.createPrettyPrint();<br />
XMLWriter writer = new XMLWriter(fos, outformat);<br />
writer.write(doc);<br />
writer.flush();</code></p>
<p><code>} <strong><span style="color:#800080;">catch</span></strong> (FileNotFoundException e) {<br />
<span style="color:#008000;">// catch exception</span><br />
e.printStackTrace();<br />
} <strong><span style="color:#800080;">catch</span></strong> (UnsupportedEncodingException e) {<br />
<span style="color:#008000;">// catch exception</span><br />
e.printStackTrace();<br />
} <strong><span style="color:#800080;">catch</span></strong> (IOException e) {<br />
<span style="color:#008000;">// catch exception</span><br />
e.printStackTrace();<br />
}</code></p>
<p>...if everything went fine we should end up with an XML file that looks like this:</p>
<p><code>&#60;?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?&#62;</code><br />
<code><br />
&#60;RootElement xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#"<br />
xmlns:rdfs="http://www.w3.org/2000/01/rdf-schema#"<br />
xmlns:rdf="http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#"<br />
xmlns:owl="http://www.w3.org/2002/07/owl#"<br />
xmlns:some="http://some/other/namespace:-)#"&#62;</code></p>
<p><code>&#60;/RootElement&#62;</code></p>
<p>So this is how you add namespaces to your xml document via Dom4j...have a nice day and stay tuned for more face-melting articles :o)...</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h1>Balance Transfers</h1>
<p>Wikipedia defines a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balance_transfer" target="_blank">balance transfers</a> as the act of transferring debt from one credit card to another assuming the newer card has better terms and rates. This often means moving the debt from one card with a higher rate to one with a 0% rate.</p>
<p>A teaser rate is one which only applies for a short period of time. This is in order to make people change account then charge them a higher rate of interest than there was when they moved.</p>
<p>The <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balance_transfer" target="_blank">purchase rate</a> is valid for perchases only (sometimes at 0%) until the required payment date.</p>
<p>Limited fixed term cards have a fixed term (no big surpirise there!). During this time the rate is fixed but afterwards it may change. It is important to be aware of any interest rate changes which may occur in order to pay as little interest as possible.</p>
<p>Some cards, for instance the Mint <a href="http://www.mint.co.uk/credit-cards.asp" target="_blank">Credit Card</a> offers both 0% on <a href="http://www.mint.co.uk/credit-cards.asp" target="_blank">balance transfers</a> and 0%  on purchases. Virgin and Halifax have also had similar offers.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Let's write a story about yourself.</p>
<p>What's its introduction? Where does your story take place?</p>
<p>How can you, as a character, be revealed? How does one get to know you? By your physical appearance? By what you say, think, feel, dream, do and don't do? Or by what others say about you? Describe it.</p>
<p>What kind of conflicts have you faced/are you facing? A struggle against external forces, or against your own self? A struggle against another person, against circumstances, ideas, or against your choices, against your feelings or limitations? Elaborate.</p>
<p>How will the turning point be? Will the conflict be resolved or not? What do you think? Do you want it to be resolved?</p>
<p>How do you expect the untangling of the events to be?</p>

<p>Hier eine Beschreibung was man dazu tun muss:</p>
<ol>
Er will mein gMail Login.</li>
<li>Ich abonniere den Feed in meinem Reader.</li>
</ol>
<p>Voila ich lese den Fuzo Newsletter mit NetNewsWire.</p>

<description><![CDATA[It&#8217;s a recipe for utter confusion&#8230;

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>It's a recipe for utter confusion...</strong></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff9900;"><em>"Now, 'lemme get this straight. First you tell us that you're gonna build a house out of an old aircraft hangar. And now you're telling us that you're going to add some old shipping containers to the construction pile. 'Jes what the hell ARE you building? It sounds like a junkyard, to me..."</em></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Picture Ronin shaking his head sadly...</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">My trip to Jackson, MS on Thursday went like I expected it to. Mississippi is hopelessly stuck in the 20th century. <strong>The EARLY 20th century</strong>. Try as I might, the politicians in this part of the country wouldn't recognize a new "solution" if it jumped up and bit them on the butt.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">My goal here was to demonstrate that homes can come from "strange and mysterious places," affordable places "those who are supposed to know" have simply overlooked, in their search for "profits." Because, my friends, <strong>building a home my way just isn't profitable</strong>. The costs are relatively low, in comparison with "new" construction, the profit margins slim, and the people who build them are either zealots, or desperate.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff9900;"><em>Me? I'm a "desperate zealot."</em></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">When I started out on this path, it wasn't in pursuit of proving "<strong><span style="color:#99cc00;">green tech</span></strong>" worked.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">I wasn't trying to be "<strong>fashionable</strong>."</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">It wasn't because I wanted to claim riches and fame as the "<strong>Salvation of the South</strong>."</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">I simply wanted a safe place for my family to live, while we get through the rest of the "<strong>Hurricane Katrina</strong>" residue. My wife and child are about to be "homeless." And, that's ALL I care about. They are the world to me.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff9900;">When Insurance companies drag you out, and the place you're currently living is deemed "unsafe" for your family to dwell in, you start thinking out of the box. And that's what I've done.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">I've built homes like this before. I have a history of taking "out of the ordinary" materials, and combining them to provide shelter for the "natives." Now, I'll admit that I didn't accomplish this all by "my onesies," but...</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">We've achieved this in some "out of the way" places. Places like<strong> Central America</strong>, the <strong>Middle East</strong>, <strong>Africa</strong>, and even... (gasp!) the <strong>Pacific Northwest</strong>.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">The <strong>Europeans</strong> build college dormitories, and even "cities" out of them. There's one located as a 'burb of <strong>London</strong>, for cryin' out loud.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">The <strong>Chinese </strong>have been building communities out of them for years. Years. And they're "steel strong." They survive earthquakes, monsoons, and anything else "Mama Nature"can throw at them.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff9900;"><em>But I probably shouldn't have mentioned that. As soon as the "lackeys" heard the word "Chinese," they started muttering "<strong>Communists! </strong></em></span><span style="color:#ff9900;"><em><strong>Ssssss!</strong>" and it was over before it started.</em></span> <span style="color:#ff9900;"><em>LOL!</em></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Okay, so I start to do my "Don't worry, be Happy..." dance in front of the poltroons...</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff9900;"><em>"This is simply a reuse of a technology that we've seen for years. Containers are structurally tough, built to stack and interlock, almost totally weatherproof by design, and easy to set up and convert... They provide immediate shelter, and they're affordable. They're laying around by the thousands, folks, and they can be bought for a song..."</em></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff0000;"><em>Unfortunately, the song the politicians heard in their heads was "No way, Jose..." If you aren't doin' it like Grandpappy did, it ain't happening.</em></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">I showed them floorplans, schematics, and renderings. The house looks like a "regular house." It lays out like a regular house.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">One of the biggest objections was the staircase;</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff9900;"><em>"That there is a lot of stairs! Who'd want to live in that?"</em></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff0000;">I suppose anybody that didn't sit behind a Gov't desk, growing enough ass to feed a third world country, while they whittle away the hours taking three-martini lunches and doing dinners with lobbyists, instead of being "real live" public servants serving public interests...</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#c0c0c0;">For the record; It's a five story staircase, going from the ground level, to the greenhouse rooftop. It's "U-Shaped" and glass enclosed. It's a "light chimney," a duct connector to all floors, and an "architectural feature." It's actually one of the "systems" built within the house.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>But, it's a long climb for "politicians with baggage over their belts, I suppose..."</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff9900;"><em>While they were debating whether or not I was a "hippy," or a "Communist," they tried to sound like the "Vanguards of the Southern Way," by tearing the design apart, room by room. </em></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">It's called "Political Misdirection." Use up the allotted time babbling (while trying to look "Important" for the cameras that are always rolling) debating a non-issue, so that you don't have to deal with the "hard stuff."</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">While I reminded them <span style="color:#ff9900;"><em>(six times, for the record)</em></span> that the issue was the hangar trusses I was trying to deal with, they kept coming back to the "<strong>Would your family, or ANY family actually live in that house?</strong>" issue.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">THAT is a county planning and zoning issue, not a "Mississippi Politician" issue, by the way...</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">So, fellow campers, here's where we are;</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff9900;"><em>The "Committee" decided not to decide. "They need time to access the situation, and determine the ramifications of a decision." I'll be notified in writing, of their decision, in "an expedient manner."</em></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>(This translates to; "We're not going out on a limb. We're not gonna do anything different. We're not gonna try and find solutions to problems, that cut us out of the profits. We're not gonna make any "Big Money" lobbyists mad. After all, it's an election year.")</strong></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Now, not all the people on the council railed at the thought of "<span style="color:#ff9900;"><strong>affordable housing from reclaimed steel, built on a budget</strong></span>." I do have some allies. They saw the potential, and the ability to house people, quickly, efficiently, and in a very "public way." They recognized that this idea could get them in front of cameras, and that means votes. After all, like I said, it's an election year...</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">But, it's gonna take a little more time to start the murmuring and rumor, that will lead to success.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff9900;"><em>And a little "persuasion..." You'd be amazed at what a well-placed media camera will do...</em></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">My rebuttal move is simple. "<strong>Divide and Conquer</strong>." I make it an "<strong>Us or Them</strong>" issue. I already have the letters and digital footage scripted. I've already been contacted by more than one national media company wanting to do a story on the house.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">All you hear about on the News today is; "<span style="color:#99cc00;">Green this, and Green that." </span>And; "America has to start using new roads, to carry us into the future. <span style="color:#99cc00;">Green is the way!</span>"</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Imagine how foolish and short-sighted these idiots will look, when it's discovered (nationally) that they actually stood in the way of an "<span style="color:#ff9900;"><strong>affordable (and weather resistant) housing solution that would put thousands of families back in homes, and paying property taxes</strong></span>..." because they were "afraid" of the embrace of a new vision. They were afraid to take a position.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>There's a word for that. It's "COWARDICE."</strong></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Now, I don't know about you, but I'd be happy to vote for a candidate (from either party) who would be willing to put the good of the State and it's citizens ahead of their own party's political agenda and social views.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">And I would be happy to vote for a strong and courageous candidate who would provide safety and security for our Mississippi families, cities, and communities.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">And, I would also be happy to support a candidate who shows intelligence, thoughtfulness, and is willing to work with citizens to find solutions to one of the State's most pressing problems. "I don't know... like maybe SHELTER?"</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff9900;"><em>(Especially after that idiot Governor of ours just gave away $600 million dollars earmarked locally for "affordable housing" to the Port of Gulfport, to rebuild the marina and casino pads... <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>When developing JSF pages using Oracle ADF Faces 10.1.3.3, I encountered the error that is reported at the top of the page as: JBO-35007 indicated that the row currency has changed since last visit or something. This was so annoy that it is repeatedly occurred everytimes I hit the back button. Sometimes it disappear when I press Refresh.</strong><br />
Googling around, I found two working solutions for the error:</p>
<ul>
<li><a href="http://satishshelake.blogspot.com/2007/10/jbo-35007-row-currency-has-changed.html">http://satishshelake.blogspot.com/2007/10/jbo-35007-row-currency-has-changed.html</a></li>
</ul>
<p style="padding-left:30px;">1.Go to page definition of jsp or jspx by right click on page.<br />
2.Select Iterator of page by using structure window or definition page<br />
3.Go to the Inspector window and change the StateValidation property as false.</p>
<ul>
<li><a href="http://www.google.com.vn/url?sa=t&#38;ct=res&#38;cd=1&#38;url=http%3A%2F%2Fone-size-doesnt-fit-all.blogspot.com%2F2007%2F01%2Fbah-what-is-jbo-35007.html&#38;ei=vRGASIXqPIiy6gOd9JzXBw&#38;usg=AFQjCNEfnPPInbXYwiFiQ4Wzz9ENf_A1Tw&#38;sig2=4pXkJn3qrV5GGgPqLeRdrQ" target="_blank">http://www.google.com.vn/url?sa=t&#38;ct=res&#38;cd=1&#38;url=http%3A%2F%2Fone-size-doesnt-fit-all.blogspot.com%2F2007%2F01%2Fbah-what-is-jbo-35007.html&#38;ei=vRGASIXqPIiy6gOd9JzXBw&#38;usg=AFQjCNEfnPPInbXYwiFiQ4Wzz9ENf_A1Tw&#38;sig2=4pXkJn3qrV5GGgPqLeRdrQ</a></li>
</ul>
<p style="padding-left:30px;">"And as can be seen from the JDev doco note, the row currency token mechanism can be turned off per page through the pageDef for your page, setting the <span style="font-family:courier new;"><strong>EnableTokenValidation</strong> </span>to false.<span> </span>(Be warned you should not flippantly turn this off for pages, or blanket turn it off for all pages, as the mechanism is an important one)</p>
<p>So enjoy your programming...</p>

<description><![CDATA[I don&#8217;t know why I acquired an affinity for music so soon in my life. I&#8217;m sure every lit]]></description>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I don't know why I acquired an affinity for music so soon in my life. I'm sure every little child likes to sing songs and bang things together. Still, though, I had a father who taught me his native country's folk songs when I barely knew how to talk. I was tri-lingual before I was five! Unfortunately, the other two languages have mostly slip-slided away.</p>
<p>I shared my new-found musical offerings with the neighborhood. You've heard of singing in the shower? Perhaps you do so yourself. I sang while swinging on my swingset. At the top of my lungs. In three languages. The neighbors would come out and stand on their porches to hear. I was not embarrassed, I was sharing!</p>
<p>Then, I found other musical expression---a little bit in school, and a little bit in the religious institution we attended. There was not much money in the school system for "extras" like music and art, though.</p>
<p><img class="size-thumbnail wp-image-441 alignright" src="http://museditions.wordpress.com/files/2008/07/grdpiano.gif?w=80" alt="" width="80" height="96" /></p>
<p>My mother thought I ought to take piano lessons. I hated piano lessons. It seemed like such a chore; such work; and I didn't like answering to other people regarding my music. Also, I detested performing in recitals and workshops. I have never been an "entertainer". That's not why I do it. Gone was the joyful spontaneity of singing on my swing (or swinging while I sing?). Instead there was the stiffness and fear of the "required" childhood recitals. It took me a long time to get over that, and learn to love music again my own way.</p>
<p>In my teenage years, two things happened. I went to choir camp in the summer! (Did you know there were such things?) And, I got old enough to be in Jr. High, or Middle School, or whatever you call it where you are---I was 13. They actually, finally, had a chorus in school! My life was changed forever because of the kindness and caring of the camp Music Director, and the school Music Teacher.</p>
<p>Mr. Whitney, at the camp, came all the way from a southern state to California every summer to teach us. We stayed on a beautiful ranch, had two rehearsals a day, did chores, swam, hiked, did crafts, rode horses if we wanted (I didn't want), and had parties at night. I wanted to live there permanently! Mr. Whitney was delightfully silly, and managed to get to know each of us as individuals. He treated us with respect, even though we were young teenagers.</p>
<p>We rehearsed and performed serious classical music, and also some fun and modern things. We were good! He wrote two musical plays for us, one of which we took on tour all over the Southern states. I was 19 by the time that tour took place, and had gone to the camp every summer. I really wasn't supposed to still be included at that age; the camp was for those 13-18, but there were several of us long-timers who were allowed to go. It speaks volumes to the caring and devotion we had for the group, that someone as old as 19 or 20 would want to tour with the younger ones in order to continue to experience this man and his music.</p>
<p><img class="size-thumbnail wp-image-437 alignleft" src="http://museditions.wordpress.com/files/2008/07/singers-wanted.jpg?w=128" alt="" width="128" height="87" /></p>
<p>Ms. McTovey moved from the Jr. High to the High School the second year I was there. This lady was the most devoted to her students of any teacher I ever experienced. She was full of contradictions, but ever herself. Her husband was a very, very, wealthy attorney. They lived in a large mansion in an exclusive area. However their politics were extremely liberal, in fact, Ms. McT was a cousin to a presidential family (a president I'd actually have voted for if I'd been old enough). They were members of every art and opera guild in town, yet they spent their holidays serving food at homeless shelters.</p>
<p>When our large chorus AND our smaller chamber choir (I had passed the auditions and was a member, yay!) both were invited to the all-state choral festival, Ms. McT held extra rehearsals in her music room, which was at the very top of their three-story mansion. I had never seen such views of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco Bay. Our public high school district included a large area of the city, encompassing her upper-class neighborhood, my adjacent middle-class one, and several what were considered "disadvantaged" areas. This woman flung her doors wide open to large, and sometimes scary, teenagers from all walks of life; races; religions; what have you. My mother thought she was very brave. I just thought she was very Ms. McT. We all loved her. She nurtured us. Hey, we won in both our categories at the festival!!!</p>
<p><img class="size-thumbnail wp-image-451 alignright" src="http://museditions.wordpress.com/files/2008/07/mandolinist.gif?w=128" alt="" width="128" height="77" /></p>
<p>In my last year of high school I was having "social and psychological difficulties". Ms. McT told me to a) take her guitar class; it would calm me down; and b) come work for her in the music library in the afternoon. She would fix it so I could get credit for an elective instead of having to take another stupid class (my word, not hers). She was right on both counts. I loved the guitar, and actually learned to play it, not just strum chords. My library work let me do something I enjoyed, as well as learn responsibility, and feel needed.</p>
<p>I don't want to seem melodramatic, but I don't know how I would have "got through" my teenage years without music and my mentors, Mr. Whitney and Ms. McTovey. Music [you may substitute "art", "crafts", "dance", "sport", "chess club", or whatever applies to you]  truly (<span style="text-decoration:line-through;">saves?</span>) changes lives.</p>

For example, if someone has your PayPal password, he can spend your money. If someone has your Gmail password, he can read your email.</p>
<p><strong>Things to include:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Use both numbers, letters, and symbols. <em>(Example: #g%6n4x)</em></li>
<li>Include capital and lowercase letters. <em>(Example: QwERty)</em></li>
<li>Substitute different symbols for letters.  <em>(Example: Use the number '0', zero, instead of the letter 'O')</em></li>
<li>Make a unique acronym.  <em>(Example: "ILG" instead of "I love God.")</em></li>
<li>Use phonetic replacements. <em>(Example: "IOU" instead of "I owe you.")</em></li>
</ul>
<p><strong> Things to avoid:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Do <em><strong>not</strong></em> use an example password. </li>
<li>Do <em><strong>not</strong></em> use a password that includes personal information.  Personal information includes your name, initials, birth date, etc.  <em>(Wrong: "Nate")</em></li>
<li>Do <em><strong>not</strong></em> use words or acronyms that can be found in the dictionary.</li>
<li>Do <strong><em>not</em></strong> use keyboard patterns. <em>(Wrong: "qwerty")</em></li>
<li>Do <strong><em>not</em></strong> use sequential patterns.  <em>(Wrong: "abcd" or "1234")</em></li>
<li>Do <strong><em>not</em></strong> make your password all numbers, all symbols, all uppercase letters, or all lowercase numbers.  You should include some of each.  <em>(Wrong: "18536", "@*%$&#38;", "AGJDC", or "fhbmr")</em></li>
<li>Do <strong><em>not</em></strong> use repeating characters. <em>(Wrong: "ffDD##55")</em></li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Tips for keeping your password secure:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Never tell your password to anyone.  (This includes your pet parrot. :) )</li>
<li>Never write your password down.</li>
<li>Never send your password in an email.</li>
<li>Periodically change your password.</li>

<ul>
<li>Hacemos click derecho en cualquier lugar del panel y nos vamos a <em>Propiedades</em></li>
<li>Checkeamos la caja que dice "Ocultar automáticamente"</li>
</ul>
<p>¡Listo!.</p>
<p>El problema ahora es que el panel queda unos 6 pixeles asomados y al menos para mí gusto no se ve muy bien. Aquí un <abbr title="pantallazo, joder!">screenshot</abbr>:</p>
<p><a href="http://glatelier.wordpress.com/files/2008/07/panel.png"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-424" src="http://glatelier.wordpress.com/files/2008/07/panel.png" alt="" width="380" height="31" /></a></p>
<p>¿Se puede ocultar completamente? ¡Por supuesto :)!</p>
<p><!--more Sigue leyendo para ver como ocultarlo :)--></p>
<ul>
<ul>
<li>bottom-panel-screen0 (el panel inferior)</li>
<li>top-panel-screen0 (el superior)</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
<p>Dependiendo cuál queramos modificar (en mi caso la superior), le hacemos clic. A la derecha saldrán un montón de valores que podremos modificar. Hay una gran parte que pueden cambiarse directamente desde las propiedades del panel como:</p>
<ul>
<li>auto_hide: Ocultar automáticamente</li>
<li>enable_arrows: Flechas en botones de ocultación</li>
<li>enable_buttons: Botones de ocultación</li>
<li>expand: Expandir</li>
<li>orientation: ...</li>
<li>size: Tamaño</li>
</ul>
<p>Y otros más interesantes que sólo podemos acceder desde esta forma:</p>
<ul>
</ul>
<p>Y otros que no tengo idea XD:</p>
<ul>
<li>monitor</li>
</ul>
<p>¿Cómo tienen ustedes sus paneles?</p>

When Microsoft introduc]]></description>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This post is dedicated to <a title="Curlywurlygurly - awesome blogger, world traveller and MS Word despiser" href="http://curlywurlygurly.wordpress.com/" target="_blank">Curlywurlygurly</a> - I have a magic button for you!</p>
<p>When Microsoft introduced the new Office Suite 2007, I went right out and paid full price for a copy. I opened Word with my head full of feel-good marketing stuff about a new look and ribbons. It sounded pretty and superior to the old version</p>
<p>I was totally flustered when I saw it for the first time.</p>
<p>Where the hell were the file menus? What was all that mess across the top of the screen? Why are there tabs all over the place and why don't they make any sense? Why did Microsoft have to so brutally kick me out of my comfort zone and take away all the stuff I was familiar with?</p>
<p>But I'm no complainer, so I gave it a try. I typed up a blog post in there intending to copy and paste it into WordPress. I generally use a lot of keyboard shortcuts when I type, so at first everything was OK - but everytime I wanted to use something from on of the old toolbars, it wasn't there. I wanted to change the properties on the document and I couldn't figure out where to go. I wanted to save the document so I could possibly retrieve it later - assuming Best Buy could sort of broken bits of laptop because I was ready to drop the thing off the roof of the house.</p>
<p>I wanted my damn file menus back!</p>
<p>But then, the fog of frustration rolled back to reveal this:</p>
<p><a href="http://rambleicious.files.wordpress.com/2008/07/office-button-small.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-98" src="http://rambleicious.wordpress.com/files/2008/07/office-button-small.jpg" alt="" width="39" height="39" /></a></p>
<p>This is the Office Button - it's in the upper left corner of the Word screen. Click it to reveal this:</p>
<p><a href="http://rambleicious.wordpress.com/files/2008/07/office-button-menu.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-99" src="http://rambleicious.wordpress.com/files/2008/07/office-button-menu.jpg" alt="" width="421" height="472" /></a></p>
<p>And there they are - all those items you miss from the old File menu.</p>
<p>Look under Prepare for nifty things like changing document properties and encrypting documents.</p>
<p>I am ashamed to say it took me several weeks to realize that Office Button was a button that did anything. I figured it was like the Internet Explorer icon that I see in the upper left of my screen as I type this. Just a little picture to let me know which program I'm using - in case I forget. A mere decoration, but not something useful.</p>
<p>The Office Button is the only complaint I have about Word 2007 now. I like the ribbons - no more searching through menus and drop-down lists for basic stuff; it's all in the open. I can do what I want to do much, much faster now.</p>
<p>I have let go of my Word 2003 blankie and I am taking my first steps. If I were several years younger, someone would be offering me a cookie and some praise right now - I'm still open to that offer at the ripe old age of 32 - especially if you've got chocolate chip!</p>

<p>That's why I wanted to highlight some great how-tos that I've run across recently on my Web travels. Even if you already do these things all the time, they are worth a read -- you might learn something new. I did.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It is that time of year again, old students leave and new students join and you suddenly have over a 100 users to create! This script lets you import all those new users into active directory from a CSV file so you do not have to spend a couple of hours entering all the data!</p>
<p>Please note that this script only imports the users and sets the password. At this time it does not set the home directory, profiles details or add groups but it is only a 5 minute job to do this en-masse afterwards anyway, I will briefly go through this later at the end of the post.</p>
<p>The first thing to do is copy the following script and copy it into a new file called <em>"importusers.vbs"</em>.</p>

<p>The script above may need some modification for your school but essentially it does the following (do not worry I will cover everything in good time!)</p>
<ol>
<li>Loads a file called students.csv</li>
<li>Goes through each line creating a user using details from the file creating it in the standard users area of <em>Active Directory for Users and Computers</em>.</li>
</ol>
<p>The first thing we will look at is how to create the students.csv file for the input, then running the script and finally and post script configuration that may need completing.</p>
<h3>Creating the Import File (students.csv)</h3>
<p>Most information systems (i.e. SIMS) are able to export user information in a text file but you may need to do some manual editing to make sure that the format of the file is correct before running the import. Failure to do so may create some unpredictable results.</p>
<p>I find it easier to edit the file in Excel before running the import script. On the whole this file will just be a list of details with each user having it's own row and each column holding a diffrent type of information. The information you will need (in the correct order is)...</p>
<p>FORENAME, SURNAME, INTAKE YEAR, PASSWORD, YEAR GROUP</p>
<p>An example of final text file should be...</p>
<pre style="padding-left:30px;">Peter,Smith,2008,secret,7
Michael,Jones,2008,september,7
June,Rivers,2008,refund,7</pre>
<p>Once this file has been created save it as <em>students.csv</em> and place it in the same folder as the script downloaded earlier.</p>
<address>TIP: When saving to CSV file format, some packages keep quotation marks around the details. To check for this open the file in Notepad. If you can see any quotation marks simply search for " and replace with nothing! This will clean the file ready for import.<br />
</address>
<h3>Running the Script (importusers.vbs)</h3>
<p>At this stage you should have saved the <em>importusers.vbs</em> and <em>students.csv</em> into the same location. Before we run the script we need to make sure that vbscripts are outputting any information to the command shell! To do this enter the following and the command prompt...</p>
<pre style="padding-left:30px;">cscript //h</pre>
<p>Once you are sure that you are ready to run the script simply doubleclick the importusers.vbs option. This will run through the file and import all the users into Active Directory.</p>
<h3>Updating Users</h3>
<p>If you start<em> Active Directory for Users and Computers</em> you should now see all the users have been imported into the <em>&#60;your domain name&#62;--&#62;users</em> folder.</p>
<p>The last thing we need to do is update the users with their profile details, group memberships, user areas, etc. Thankfully we can perform this update en-masse rather than editing each user individually. To update the users you must...</p>
<ol>
<li>Select all the users you want to update.</li>
<li>Right click on one of the users and select <em>Add to a group...</em></li>
<li>Enter the group name you would like to add and click OK</li>
<li>Right click on one of the users again and select <em>Properties...</em></li>
<li>Click the profile tab,</li>
<li>Click the <em>Profile Path </em>box and enter the path to the profile on the server i.e. \\<em>&#60;server&#62;</em>\<em>&#60;share&#62;</em>\<em>&#60;profilename&#62;</em></li>
<li>Click the <em>Home Folder </em>box and enter the appropriate details. If all of your users have their own folder which is found in a common folder enter <em>%USERNAME%</em> instead of the name and this will enter the correct username for each user.</li>
<li>Click OK</li>
</ol>
<p>You may wish to look at the other tabs to make sure that there are no other options you wish to select.</p>
<p>Finally you can move all the users to the correct Organisational Unit by highlighting them, right clicking and selecting move!</p>
<p>I hope that you have found the above helpful, if anyone would like any help or would like to know more about this script please leave a comment below!</p>
<p><span style="color:#ff6600;">Note: I do have a copy of this script that creates random passwords and exports the new user details and passwords to a text file if anyone is interested!</span></p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I wanted to build a popup window that I could use to bring up a print dialog in a web page. It's no use using the JAVA print dialog because it would appear on the web server.</p>
<p>So:-</p>
<p>FORM WITH DATA ---&#62; CLICK PRINT ---&#62; Bring up Popup Print Window ---&#62; CLOSE WINDOW --&#62; RETURN TO FORM</p>
<p><strong>The Popup JSF page</strong></p>
<p>1. Create the Popup window java server faces page. (just a normal jsf page)<br />
2. Add a Button to the page to close it<br />
3. Add a static text box, rename it to txtJAVASCRIPT, set the escape checkbox to off, add a binding attribute<br />
4. Now, on the Popup I have a close button and the code in the close button simply sets the static text box's javascript:</p>
<pre>public String cmdClOSE_action() {
getSessionBean1().sPrintReportRequest="";
        txtJAVASCRIPT.setText("&#60;script language='javascript'&#62;window.close();&#60;/script&#62;");
        txtJAVASCRIPT.setVisible(true);
        return null;
}</pre>
<p><strong>The calling JSF page</strong></p>
<p>1. Create your page that you want to call the popup box.<br />
2. Add the popup code into the JSF for the page calling the popup (I put it into a page fragement that appears on every page):-</p>
<pre>&#60;script LANGUAGE="JavaScript"&#62;

            function popUp(URL) {
            day = new Date();
            id = day.getTime();
            eval("page" + id + " = window.open(URL, '" + id + "',
'toolbar=0,scrollbars=0,location=0,statusbar=0,menubar=0,resizable=0,width=382,height=286,left = 529,top = 307');");
            }

        &#60;/script&#62;</pre>
<p>Ofcourse you can change the settings as you wish (i.e. popup window size)</p>
<p>3. Making the popup appear.</p>
<p>a. Add a static text box, rename it to txtJAVASCRIPT, set the escape checkbox to off, add a binding attribute (this stores the javascript when i want the box to appear).</p>
<p>b. Add a button to the form you want the popup to appear on, in the button java put :-</p>
<pre>  public String cmdPRINT_action() {
      // in this case i am printing a report so i set the session variable to tell the server the popup needs to be displayed
         getSessionBean1().sPrintReportRequest="rptzones";
// now set the txt of the static text box I set up on the same page, note its normally not visible or rendered
// in this case the popup is a jsf page called frmPRINTREPORTS.jsp
         txtJAVASCRIPT.setRendered(true);
         txtJAVASCRIPT.setText("&#60;script language='javascript'&#62;popUp('frmPRINTREPORTS.jsp');&#60;/script&#62;" );
        txtJAVASCRIPT.setVisible(true);

        return null;
    }
 </pre>
<p> </p>
<p>4. Lastly in the form that called the popup I want to stop it from appearing so I have to kill the javascript.</p>
<pre>    public void preprocess() {

        String sReportRequest=getSessionBean1().sPrintReportRequest;
        if (sReportRequest.equals("")) {
            txtJAVASCRIPT.setVisible(false);
            txtJAVASCRIPT.setText("");

        }

   </pre>
<p>Note that the code has to run in the preprocess stage of the page, this simply makes sure that the javascript won't run when it's not wanted.</p>
<p>There you go!</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h1>Finding Jobs Online</h1>
<p>Finding a job can be a difficult task particularly if you are after long term employment. When you are young looking in the <a href="http://www.cartoonstock.com/newscartoons/cartoonists/dpa/lowres/dpan1807l.jpg" target="_blank">windows</a> of local shops works well but as you get older you need new methods! Looking for jobs online allows you to <strong>search by sector or location</strong>.</p>
<p>When using <a href="http://www.careers-jobs.eu/" target="_blank">job sites</a> it is important to always project a <strong>professional image</strong>. This me</p>
<p>ans sensible email addresses (no more XcrazychikX2008@something.com) and a well written CV.</p>
<p>Look at all the jobs in your chosen sector so that you hav</p>
<p>e a better idea of <strong>what companies are looking for</strong> and what skills they require.</p>
<p>Make use of <strong>career advice and tips</strong> on job sites, it's in their interests to introduce Employers to good potential Employees. make sure you research the company thoroughly so that you don't end up applying for jobs which are of no use to you. When you contact a potential employer it shows that you are keen if you have a good <a href="http://www.google.com" target="_blank">knowledge</a> of what they do.</p>
<p>Apply for as many jobs as you can! The more <a href="http://www.careers-jobs.eu/jobseeker/doc/interview-tips-19.html" target="_blank">interviews</a> you do the better your <strong>interview technique</strong> will be. Do not put extra pressure on yourself by thinking that this is the only job for you.</p>

<p style="text-align:center;"><a href="http://rackon.files.wordpress.com/2008/07/schermata-1.png"><img class="size-medium wp-image-71 aligncenter" src="http://rackon.wordpress.com/files/2008/07/schermata-1.png?w=300" alt="" width="300" height="187" /></a></p>
Buon divertimento :)</p>

<description><![CDATA[

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-422" src="http://mrintech.wordpress.com/files/2008/07/ultimate.jpg?w=292" alt="" width="292" height="300" /></p>
<p><strong>Now Installing Windows OS (XP and Vista) with latest service packs is now possible. Now whats surprise in this?</strong></p>
<p><strong>Well the surprise is that instead of installing both OS and Service Packs Individually, you can now integrate both of them in a single CD/DVD.</strong> :)</p>
<p>With the latest release of <strong>Windows XP Service Pack 3</strong> and <strong>Windows Vista Service Pack 1</strong>, it's very simple to integrate them with the Operating System itself. This will save ample amount of time when you reinstall Windows.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-417" src="http://mrintech.wordpress.com/files/2008/07/xp-logo1.jpg?w=127" alt="" width="127" height="96" /></p>
<h2 style="text-align:center;"><a href="http://www.soft32.com/download_123572.html" target="_blank"><strong><span style="color:#0000ff;">Download Service Pack 3 for Windows XP</span></strong></a></h2>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-418" src="http://mrintech.wordpress.com/files/2008/07/vista-logo-magnified.jpg?w=112" alt="" width="112" height="96" /></p>
<h2 style="text-align:center;"><a href="http://www.softpedia.com/get/Others/Signatures-Updates/Windows-Vista-Service-Pack.shtml" target="_blank"><span style="color:#0000ff;"><strong>Download Service Pack 1 for Windows Vista</strong></span></a></h2>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-419" src="http://mrintech.wordpress.com/files/2008/07/sp-3.jpg?w=300" alt="" width="300" height="278" /></p>
<p><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">Well I recommend a licensed version of Windows OS and just go through the following steps:</span></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>First of all copy the entire content of Windows OS in a newly created folder of your Computer's Hard Disk. Now copy the Service Pack in another newly created folder. Be 100% sure that the partition where you are copying content have good space.</li>
<li><strong><a href="http://www.nliteos.com/" target="_blank">Download nLite for Windows XP</a></strong> or <strong><a href="http://www.vlite.net/" target="_blank">Download vLite for Windows Vista</a></strong>. Install the programs.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">Note: Slipstreaming XP Service Pack 3 with vLite will result in errorenous results. Be cautious all the time.</span></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Run vLite and select the folder from where you Windows installation files. This can be done by selecting the Browse Button. Now select the version of the Windows Vista you wish to configure and click OK.</li>
<li>vLite enables you to <strong>slipstream Service Packs, integrate device drivers, add or remove Windows components etc</strong>. In the <strong>Task Selection Tab</strong>, only check the options of <strong>Service Pack Slipstream </strong>and <strong>Bootable ISO</strong>. Click Next to proceed.</li>
<li>You can select the <strong>Unattended option</strong> in the <strong>Task Selection Tab</strong> to automate entering Product Key, regional Settings, Computer Name etc.</li>
<li>Slipstreaming process will result in decompressing the Service Pack into your Hard Disks <strong>Temporary Folder</strong>. So be sure that your Hard Disk have enough space to accompany the decompressing process. Otherwise select another location from the <strong>Options</strong> present in the <strong>Menu Bar</strong>.</li>
<li><span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>Before Starting the whole process disable Antivirus and other security softwares. Better disconnect the Internet connection. As soon as the slipstreamig process is done, re-enable them.</strong></span></li>
<li>Now as soon as the Slipstreaming Process is done, vLite will brings up the <strong>ISO tab</strong> and this will enable you to burn the <strong>Integrated Service Pack OS</strong> into CD/DVD or simply create an ISO file in your Hard Disk for burning later.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Note: The above process is same for nLite too.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Cheers!!</strong></p>
