Je tentais de comprendre pourquoi sa campagne a parti sur des chapeaux de roue, et se termine littéralement en queue de poisson.  Il est arrivé quelque chose de semblable en 2006, alors qu'il a parti lentement, repris du poil de la bête, pour s'écraser à la fin.  En fait, il me fait penser à une certaine athlète québécoise...

Vous souvenez-vous de Josée Chouinard?  Elle fut une patineuse artistique du tonnerre, plusieurs fois championne canadienne, et brillait aussi au niveau international.  Mais quand venait le temps de participer aux olympiques, elle était toujours... sur le cul!  Elle terminait au fond du top 10 à chaque fois, alors qu'elle représentait, à chacune des olympiades où elle se présentait, un espoir de médaille.  Elle était superbe partout, sauf aux olympiques!  On a sorti toutes sortes de théories, comme quoi elle craquait sous la pression, mais pourtant, dans tous les autres championnats, elle excellait.

Stephen Harper est un peu semblable; pendant deux ans et demi, il fut un très bon gestionnaire, pour le pays, il a réalisé la majorité de ses engagements, a baissé les taxes et impôts, pour le bénéfice de nombreux citoyens, ainsi que pour plusieurs entreprises, est allé de l'avant avec des lois justes et honnêtes, a préparé, depuis plus d'un an, des plans pour se prémunir des soubresauts que l'économie connaît maintenant, etc.  Mais depuis qu'il a entretenu l'idée de sortir en élections cet automne, il se retrouve "sur le cul" plus souvent qu'à son tour!  Les coupes de 45 millions$ aux arts et en culture n'ont pas été expliqués de façon à ce que tout le monde comprenne, tout comme l'engagement de renforcer la loi sur les jeunes contrevenants.  Bref, il tarde à réagir aux attaques, et ne sait pas s'y prendre pour expliquer son programme de façon à ce qu'on veuille l'acheter.  Il se retrouve donc à la merci de la propagande des autres partis en général, et du bloc, au Québec.

C'est triste.  Il aurait pu devenir un excellent premier ministre, dans un gouvernement majoritaire.  Mais comme il a su se mettre lui-même le pied dans la bouche, il devra tout recommencer, parce que ce n'est pas certain, cette fois, que Stéphane Dion va passer une autre année à demander à ses députés de s'asseoir sur leurs mains.

Una volta non se ne vedevano tanti, per lo più erano di plastica o riciclati se non mangiabili, ma oggi se ne trovano di pazzi e assurdi, per tutti i gusti, dai 15 ai 300 dollari circa.Ce ne sono di tantissimi tipi, classici, tematici e anche per diverse occasioni celebrative, ma quelli matrimoniali scovati sul web sono una vera chicca! Esistono interi siti dedicati e anche veri e propri artigiani di Topper per torte, e gli americani sono tra quelli più folli.Vuoi un matrimonio alla guerre stellari o vuoi mettere subito  in chiaro le regole?

Vi sono i topper autocelebrativi: statuette che mettono in risalto le doti e le caratteristiche essenziali della coppia...dalla coppia iperimpegnata con i cellulari, alla sportiva, a quella rock, da quella omosessuale  a quella 007.

 Quelli sadomasochistici, punitivi, umoristici ma in fondo veritieri....i cosidetti matrimoni inquietanti.chi scappa, chi litiga, chi è ingabbiato e chi addirittura non si guarda nemmeno..matrimonio di costrizione?

Poi ci sono quelli sexy e ammiccanti che vanno dritto al sodo, espliciti anche troppo (vedi scheletri) in barba all'invitato che guardandoli sulla torta aspetta pensieroso la sua fettina di dolce.

E infine i cake topper degli eterni Peter Pan, i più belli e kitsch, che per gioco o per scaramanzia preferiscono mettere in cima alla torta Elvis, i Simpson, Hello Kitty o il fantastico King Kong....per non avere fin da subito troppe responsabilità....per chi fosse interessato vi sono topper manga, cartoon e anche di guerre stellari, fatevi un giro quì e quì.

Sigur, ordinea in care sunt plasate universitatile poate fi contestata. Terrorizer only released one album in their prime, so it would be a crime to list them any higher. What a classic it was, though. As far as grindcore bands go, they are right up there with the best of them.

One of the best bands to ever come out of Canada. And there have been some good ones.

A fairly difficult to classify band from the UK. More doomy than anything I suppose. A great band no matter the genre.

#7 Satyricon

The lone black metal band on the list gets some love by virtue of being one of the only decent black metal bands with a 4 syllable name.

#6 Korpiklaani
Korpiklaani are occasionally a bit goofy and esoteric for my tastes, but are always consistent an, most of all, fun. They certainly have their own rabid fanbase.

#5 Immolation
The OTHER brutal death metal band from New York. Maybe my death metal bias is showing through here a little bit, but they are an extremely underrated band.

#4 Ensiferum
The Finnish folk metallers have yet to write a bad song, despite numerous lineup changes. Few bands create such an epic battle atmosphere as they do.

#3 Suffocation
Suffocation obliterated melody and created what we refer to as “brutal” death metal. They were probably the heaviest band to date during their heyday in the early ‘90s, as well as one of the most technically gifted death metal bands.

#2 Metallica
What? You thought they’d be #1?

#1 Sepultura
The famous Brazilians were not only one of the greatest thrash metal bands of all time, but also a primary influence on the early death metal scene. And yes, I said were. We’re speaking strictly Max Cavalera-era Sepultura here.

Dette er da den andre og øverste filmen av Martin Scorsese. Som sagt i forrige innlegg er han en av favorittregissørene mine. Generelt sett er Goodfellas og Taxi Driver regnet som de to beste filmene hans (henholdsvis 15. og 38. plass på top 250), og selv om begge disse er solide 9/10-filmer etter min mening, er det altså The Departed og Raging Bull som er mine favoritter.

The Departed har litt av et stjernelag på skuespillersiden, med litt eldre storheter som Nicholson (One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Shining), Sheen (Apocalypse Now) og Baldwin (Glengarry Glen Ross), i tillegg til de yngre som DiCaprio (Blood Diamond, The Aviator), Damon (Good Will Hunting, The Bourne Identity) og Wahlberg (Boogie Nights).

The Departed handler om to unge menn i Boston's politiopplæring. Billy Costigan (DiCaprio) kommer fra dårlige kår, og blir valgt ut til å gå inn undercover. Politiet vil få has på Frank Costello (Nicholson), lederen av den irske mafiaen. Det de ikke vet, er at Colin Sullivan (Damon) også nettopp har blitt politimann, og hans lojalitet ligger hos Costello. Når så Sullivan blir satt opp til å lede gruppen som skal fange ham selv, og Costello ber han om å finne ut hvem muldvarpen i gjengen hans er, er det duket for forvirring og dobbeltspill med livet som innsats.

Først bør det vel nevnes at filmen er en remake av en trilogi fra Hong Kong, med navnet Infernal Affairs (den første). Den har en skare av fans som er rasende over den nye, dårlige versjonen. Jeg har sett begge to, og Infernal Affairs er en god film, men rett og slett ikke i nærheten av så bra som The Departed. Sånn ser i alle fall jeg det.

Scorsese er jo en mester innen sjangeren, og dette er toppen av kransekaka. En fantastisk historie, som aldri slutter å være spennende gjennom 2,5 time, som i tillegg har en slutt som slår pusten ut av deg. Det er vel kanskje slutten som har fått en del kritikk blant de som ikke liker filmen, men for meg fungerte det så det suste, og jeg syntes det var veldig passende i forhold til resten av filmen.

Skuespillet er det absolutt ingenting å si på. Absolutt en av Wahlbergs beste roller, og Nicholson passer utrolig godt som mafiasjef. Men de aller beste prestasjonen syns jeg DiCaprio gjør. Han tar virkelig steget inn som en kvalitetsskuespiller med denne filmen her.

Masse stilige kameraføringer, og ikke bare tradisjonelt. Er blandt annet noen kjappe kjøringer under dialogscener, som egentlig ikke er vanlig, men det brukes bra her. Apropos dialog, så er jo manuset glimrende. Føles veldig naturlig, men er samtidig "krydret" med allslags utrolig morsomme replikker, ofte levert av Wahlbergs karakter.

The Departed var den beste filmen jeg så på kino i 2006, og jeg så den i tillegg to ganger. Jeg er rimelig sikker på at dette kommer til å forbli en klassiker langt fram i tid. Den vant fire Oscar; Beste film, Beste regi, Beste klipp og Beste manus basert på annet materiale. Fire av de aller beste prisene å få, med andre ord. I tillegg ble Wahlberg nominert til Beste mannlige birolle, men vant ikke. På IMDb har den en rating på 8.5/10 med 187 156 stemme, og den er dermed på 45. plass på top 250.

La verdad que está difícil decidir, especialmente entre los 4 primeros, de LittleBigPlanet, por haber probado la beta, me ha fascinado; Fallout 3, por todo lo que he visto hasta ahora (gameplay); Resistance 2 y GOW2, por haber disfrutado de sus primeros capítulos... De la lista de Wii, la verdad que prácticamente ninguno me ha gustado, si fue por GHWT, fue por la versión GH3:LOR de PS3, capaz que me compre.... Y TRU, por la excelente calidad gráfica mostrada tanto en PS3 y en X360. La verdad no sé como se sigue vendiendo la Wii, por lo que veo, hoy en día ya no se fijan tanto en la calidad gráfica, técnica y general de un juego... Pero bueno, para gustos hay sabores...

We went to Al-Khobar, a sea town 400 kilometers east of Riyadh. Well, I did put on lots of sunblock but I didn't get any chance to swim on the Persian Gulf water because 1. I do not want swimming in my abaya (or long-sleeved shirts and denim pedal pushers), 2. the water looks murky (but good nonetheless for swimming) and 3. there were many (too many) guys around (whom I wasn't sure if they're there to swim or to ogle at the few women on the beach).

Anyway, I just waded (feet only) in the morning in my jeans (yes, the horrors!), a tank top, and a nice, flowy cardigan. Looky here for my "beach-y" attire:

The cargidan is very versatile. I just let it drape here for that "laidback" look. It has long sleeves which can be scrunched to 3/4. Here's another way to wear it:

Part 3

Before I tell you about this new line, you should know something about me. I have a very long fuse. And when I say long, I mean, looooooooooooooooooooooooooong. This has, in my life thus far, been a good and a bad thing. I’ve learnt patience with it but it’s also led me to let people take a dump on my head more often than is needed. It’s meant that I can pretty much withstand anything life throws at me, but it’s also meant that I have to be patient with myself more often than I ever thought I would be.

There’s one quintessential thing about this long fuse that sometimes people forget. Even though it’s long, it has an end. And holy mother of balls and chutney, when you reach the end of my fuse, you will fall off a cliff, screaming and wishing for the comfort of your childhood teddy.

Learning about my long fuse takes people time. Learning about the end of it does not. It happens quickly, and without much emotion, truly. Once you reach that end of it, it truly unravels and you’re left dealing with a very stern, very strong, very no-fucking-hearts-and-flowers, Cath. You won’t like me when I’m mad. It’s a cold place and I will confiscate your socks.

But, you see, learning about the long fuse takes time. Whilst my long fuse is a winding road, I walk upon it a smoking dragon. As long as you don’t poke me, I shan’t breathe fire. And it takes a mighty big stick to poke a dragon so that it truly feels the pinch.

The new line in my life is quite simple and happened upon when I was irked at work. See, my long fuse was being trampled upon, pulled at, yanked, whatever you want to call it. And it was not just mine alone that was being fucked with. It led to me puffing a bit along the way but, I still kept going. Until, two days ago when someone very dear to me said to the person irking me, that I was not happy. When someone else realizes that my fuse is fast coming to an end, that’s when you know… dudes, duck and cover.

So, this new line is quite simple. And being someone who battles with boundaries and keeping them and drawing them, I find it quite comforting to finally have something to say when I feel it’s time to draw them.

It’s easy to say and easy to remember:

So, this is on the unstable server, where I do most of my experimenting on. It returned these results:

So according to these results, I experiment with script running alot, do a lot of file browsing, run BZFS (BZFlag Server) which means I do a lot of testing in BZFlag maps. Screen is up in third also, which means I do a lot of programs that I stay running. I got killall, which I used to kill all my scripts and BZFlag servers. MySQL was strictly for my website. History is just this script XD. g++ is used to convert plugins to .so from .cpp so that they can be used in BZFlag, so I do lots of plugin conversions. Crontab shows up, which I use to modify how often my random map generating scripts run.

According to this list, I have bzfs up at the top with 121 uses. So obviously bzflag strictly. Again, we have screen and killall up there, both used for bzfs related stuff. cd and nano (Command Line Editor) are up there too, as I did minor modifications right in the terminal. We have keepalive which is basically a script that runs the whole server (Including bzfs, so bzfs could really be 141). Down near the bottom, ps (While I was experimenting with processes), ls for file browsing, and kill which I used in correspondence with ps. bzfs is at the bottom, these are just failed attempts to execute the top bzfs because I remembered that this wasn't unstable, so bzfs wasn't included as a normal function, so you have to go to the actual directory where it's installed.

Ok, so that was a little interesting with the command line. By the way, that code is:

Main Goal Although this may sound like a basic Breakout game, it is not. The concept itself is completely original. Instead of just hitting blocks, you have to hit blocks with 2 other players! You have health, and every time you hit a block, you gain 3 health and your opponents lose 5 health. Over time, this health adds up! There are also powerups you can get, and as you see the effects of each and their icons, you can try to memorize which ones do what. Finally, when you do hit a block, it gets sent to your opponent's fields after a short amount of time. This means that the more blocks you hit, the more blocks you create on your opponent's side to block out the stage and possibly make it harder for them to survive!

This is an example that I am pretty proud of. It shows a ball getting hit by a continuous bullet slowly losing health, and then there's a DDR-style healthbar that you can press the up and down arrow keys on to make it gain or lose health, smoothly, of course ;)

Oh yeah, I finished reading the Space Odyssey series. Great books, probably the first ever I've seen with so much science fiction and action in it. If I were to rate these books in the series on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give them:

So, now I want to talk to you about a neat little program called CExe.

Cexe's goal is to produce smaller exe files using the smallest possible exe compression method. It uses the framework of zlib and lzw. It worked quite well with the Game Maker Executables, dropping fightersfield from 6.3 MB to 5.3 MB and dropping simple_race (another one of my unreleased games) from 2.6 to 1.5 MB. Basically, it drops them 1 MB, which could make some difference for some people, so it works. If you really wanted to, you can then put it in a zip file dropping fighter's field to 4.8 MB and simple_race to 1.2 MB.
This was produced by a person named Scott Ludwig, and that's the post about CExe, and the download by it. Very nice job Scott, you did well.

Para comenzar debemos definir "TOP" desde nuestro punto de vista espiritual, no crea que el acrónimo que le voy a dar a continuación cambia el significado usual que tiene, solo lo vamos a complementar, a darle un nuevo sentido sin perder el que ya tiene.

Tiempo con Dios:

El primer paso se refiere al tiempo que pasamos con Dios, es el primero y mas importante hábito que debemos introducir en nuestra vida sin descuidarlo no importando cuanto tiempo lleves como creyente, sea unos pocos días o meses o si has nacido en un hogar cristiano o va cumplir sus 50 años en la congregación. El tiempo que pasemos en la presencia de Dios es el hábito mas importante que debemos adoptar y no es reemplazado con todas las buenas obras espirituales que pueda realizar, sea líder de un ministerio o pastor de una gran iglesia, este tiempo no es reemplazable con ninguna actividad.
Quizás por ser un hábito en cierto modo pasivo es tan difícil de adquirir y más aun en un mundo que nos guía constantemente a la actividad, productiva o no, siempre estamos rodeados de ‘cosas que queremos hacer', este tiempo es un tiempo de quietud, de meditación, es un tiempo más para escuchar y buscar dirección que para actuar. (Salmo 46:10 - Ecl 9:17)

Lo primero que debemos hacer es darle la importancia que tiene, no se trata de unos minutos que pasamos callados esperando que Dios nos hable (Salmo 37:7a), es una cita con el Creador del Universo, con el artífice de nuestra salvación, con el Señor de Señores y el Rey de nuestras vidas, un tiempo para meditar en quien es EL, y recordarnos más frecuentemente su obra redentora.

Con el pasar del tiempo tenemos la tendencia a dar por sentado muchas cosas, nuestra salvación, la bendición y protección, la provisión y el cuidado que tiene Dios con nosotros, y no estoy diciendo que por no tener ese tiempo con Dios vaya a dejar de hacerlo, Dios es fiel a pesar de nosotros mismos (afortunadamente para muchos de nosotros), lo que quiero que trate de ver es que Dios no es un Dios lejano e inalcanzable sentado sobre su gran trono blanco dando órdenes ejecutiva a sus ángeles y querubines, no, ese puede ser el gerente de un gran emporio, pero ese no es el Dios de la Biblia. El Dios que nos relata la Biblia es un Dios amoroso, que se interesa tanto por su enfermedad terminal como por sus deseos mas íntimos, es un Dios que realmente se interesa por cada uno de nosotros de forma personal.(1 Ped 5:7)

Quizás la siguiente imagen le pueda ayudar un poco, imagínese como el padre de una gran familia, digamos que tiene 10 hijos, seguramente no será fácil tener un tiempo con cada uno de ellos, pero estoy seguro de que lo intentaría, conocería perfectamente a cada uno, su temperamento, sueños, anhelos y necesidades y como padre trataría de suplirlos cada uno personal y específicamente, así mismo cada uno de ellos seguramente quisiera arrebatar más tiempo a sus hermanos para tenerlo consigo.

De la misma forma la Biblia nos dice que tenemos potestad de ser llamados hijos de Dios (Juan 1:12), y El como nuestro Padre Celestial desea pasar tiempo con cada uno de nosotros y nos conoce íntimamente. Si lo medita un poco quizás suene extraño, que El creador del universo entero quiera pasar unos minutos en privado conmigo? Y que lo desea cada día!, no le parece extraordinario? Lo realmente increíble es que nosotros como hijos a diferencia del ejemplo no valoramos ese tiempo que El quiere pasar con nosotros y por el contrario tratamos de llenar nuestro tiempo de miles de cosas de mucha menor importancia que pasar tiempo con Nuestro Creador.

Oración:

Ya he hablado en otras ocasiones acerca de la importancia de la oración en la vida del cristiano, lo hemos definido como una de las herramientas más valiosas en el arsenal del creyente, (Mateo 21:22) solo quiero agregar que no debe confundir su Tiempo con Dios, con el Tiempo de Oración, aunque son muy similares y pueden compartir ese tiempo no es lo mismo, recuerde que en el primero nosotros escuchamos, meditamos, callamos; en la oración por el contrario, siguiendo el ejemplo que nos dejo Jesús (Mateo 6), reconocemos y expresamos con palabras quien es nuestro Dios, le glorificamos e identificamos, reconocemos nuestras culpas y recordamos su misericordia para con nosotros, expresamos nuestros deseos y peticiones y le adoramos por su fidelidad y grandeza, es un tiempo para interceder no solo por nuestras necesidades sino por las de los demás, es un tiempo que podemos pasar solos o en compañía de hermanos como soldados en la brecha resistiendo los dardos del enemigo, hablaremos un poco más de la oración después de ver el último componente de su nueva vida TOP al final de este artículo.

Palabra:

El estudio de la Palabra de Dios. Estudiar la Biblia quizás sea el componente que requiere más actividad de los tres que mencionamos. Se trata de un ejercicio mental e intelectual, no es algo completamente pasivo y requiere más esfuerzo y dedicación, y es el complemento idóneo para cualquiera de los otros dos hábitos mencionados anteriormente.

Muy probablemente si usted mira las últimas páginas de su Biblia va a encontrar una ‘formula' para leer su Biblia en un año; no soy partidario de estas fórmulas, si bien la sola lectura de la palabra de Dios edifica y conforta (2 Tim 3:16), no estoy hablando de ‘lectura', estoy refiriéndome a estudiar, meditar en el libro más conocido y vendido a través de la historia de la humanidad y así mismo el menos estudiado.

La Biblia misma en ningún lugar nos sugiere que ‘solo leamos' la palabra de Dios, siempre nos invita a meditar en ella (Salmo 1), y solemos confundir esta instrucción con ‘lectura', para que cambiemos un poco esta percepción me permitiré darle un ejemplo con el que quizás al recordarlo logre captar la diferencia.

"Sabe cual es el animal que mas medita? La vaca!, si, ya que una definición poco ortodoxa de meditar es ‘rumiar', ha observado una vaca alguna vez? seguramente habrá notado que su única labor es rumiar, rumiar y rumiar" pues bien, cuando la Biblia nos dice "meditad" es como si nos dijese "rumiar" (en mi diccionario personal claro esta!), lo que quiero decir es que no tratemos de leer la mayor cantidad de capítulos posibles, tratemos de meditar el mayor tiempo posible en cada versículo. El autor de tan maravilloso libro no es simplemente un gran escritor, es el mismo que escribió con su dedo los mandamientos entregados a Moisés (Exo 31:18), el mismo que dictó a cada uno de los profetas y apóstoles de la Biblia, el mismo que ha escrito línea por línea el código de nuestro ADN.

Y de la misma forma nos ha permitido conocer su palabra y pensamientos de manera que podamos conocerle en todo su esplendor.

Es casi risible como existen muchas personas que se hacen llamar ‘cultas' que tratan de ridiculizar a quienes somos creyentes, cuando no se han tomado la molestia de leer un solo capítulo de la Biblia, y si acaso lo han leído nunca lo han estudiado y no hacen más que sacarlo de contexto con ánimo de ridiculizar haciéndose a si mismos necios. (Rom 1:21- )

Resumiendo:

El calificativo TOP como decía al inicio es sinónimo de lo mejor de lo mejor, también le dije que no cambiaría esta similitud con tres definiciones cristianas, y es que si adquirimos estos tres hábitos en nuestra vida, podremos entonces decir y disfrutar realmente de una vida ‘de lo mejor de lo mejor'. Lo invito a que se examine a si mismo, si no siente que está llevando una vida TOP, examine cada uno de los tres componentes que hemos mencionado.

Le falta tiempo para todo? No le alcanza ni el tiempo ni los recursos para nada? Será acaso que no le está dedicando su tiempo mas valioso a Dios? (Hageo 1:4-7)

Está lleno de preocupaciones? Las angustias y necesidades no le permiten conciliar el sueño? La preocupación no es otra cosa que falta de oración, esta teniendo su tiempo de oración diario? (Fili4:6-7)

Quiere acercarse a Dios pero no sabe como? Tiene una percepción difusa de quien es verdaderamente Dios?, quisiera complacerle pero no sabe como? Quiere saber el propósito de Dios para su vida? Conózcale verdaderamente, conozca su grandeza magnificencia, su fidelidad y misericordia están por doquier en Su Palabra . (Salmo 9:10)

Ahora bien, seguramente habrá notado que cada uno de estos tres componentes parecieran compartir el mismo tiempo o suelen confundirse, no es extraño ya que podemos realizar las tres actividades en un tiempo compartido, imagine que se levanta temprano en la mañana (es una sugerencia, si no es madrugador no se desanime) y en la quietud de su hogar busca un lugar solo y tranquilo. Que le parecería comenzar su día reconociendo que el aire que respira es nada mas y nada menos que una expresión del amor y misericordia de nuestro gran Dios, observe el cielo y no pierda la capacidad de maravillarse al imaginar la grandeza del creador del universo, póstrese delante de este gran Dios y regocíjese llamándole Padre Nuestro, derrame su corazón delante de El con la confianza de un hijo que le conoce como su Padre Celestial, busque constantemente su consejo y dirección a través de la escritura, confórtese y anímese con sus palabras y promesas, y aférrese a cada una de ellas meditándolas todo el tiempo hasta que se graben con fuerza en su mente y corazón.

Y comience a disfrutar de una vida TOP.

Bentornati a Top Of The Mascalzone! Oggi vi presento in esclusiva la nuova canzone della mia idola: Beyoncè!

La canzone si intitola If I Were A Boy, in cui nel testo Bee si mette nei panni di un ragazzo sapendo però ovviamente tutte le cose che passano le ragazze. La canzone è una bella ballata ma non è l’unica canzone che farà uscire Beyoncè. Infatti l’uscita del suo terzo album sarà anticipata da una double realise, vale a dire che un singolo sarà mandato in america e un altro nel resto del mondo contemporaneamente. Per l’altro singolo dovremmo ancora aspettare: si sa solo che si intitolerà Single Ladies e sarà una uptempo !(canzone ritmata)

Pillole Dal Passato

La pillola dal passato di questa settimana è Can’t Fight The Moonlight di Leann Rimes. Canzine anche questa molto famosa, è impossibile non averla mia sentita. Il ritornello quando entra in testa non vuole più uscire! Inoltre anche il testo è molto bello e carico di significato. First and foremost we consider ourselves to be in a "normal" vanilla relationship, just boyfriend and girlfriend. Equals. We talk about things, we do things together, have sex, watch movies, help each other, support each other, are cheeky brats to each other.

Our BDSM activities are basically things we do when we're in the mood or planned sessions like I did with her (yeah I'm going to stop capitalising "her" now) the other night which I'll write about later.

It works something like this:

Basically three levels - vanilla, top/bottom and domme/sub. The switching part of it is that sometimes I'm Top and she is bottom, but above that she is Domme and I am sub. So basically Domme overrides Top - but we have rules for that to avoid clashes and confusion.

If she is Domme or I am Top at any point in time the other person cannot go Domme or Top. She can't go straight from bottom to Domme and I can't go straight from sub to Top. Everything returns to vanilla first.

It's pretty easy for her to assert her role as Domme when she wants to go to that level - as long as she's not currently bottom. If she takes things to that level then I'm sub until she releases me from that. If I want to Top then basically the rule is if I go get an implement then that's the signal that I want to go Top.

That works because for me, going Top is essentially spanking - usually discipline or me just wanting to smack her for the fun of it. It's more complicate for Domme/sub because she does more stuff with me like making her doing her ironing, dressing her etc but that works fine because Domme is ultimate in this relationship and when she goes Domme then that's it. If I want to Top (to get her back) I have to wait till she releases me, we return to vanilla ... for a bit, and then I can. Though usually it would be a couple of hours or even overnight for the subbie comedown before I feel able to switch from sub to Top.

The longest Top/bottom session I've done so far was what I did with her the other night - which I'll blog about later which lasted just under an hour, but typically just going Top for a quick spanking would be over in 5 minutes. Domme/sub sessions can last a bit longer and go a couple of hours if she's making me do stuff. Afterwards everything returns back to normal vanilla relationship.
